A Town Creek woman was killed in a two-car wreck at the intersection of Ala. 24 and Ala. 33 in Moulton Thursday afternoon. The victim's name had not been released as of 4 p.m. pending notification of all family members. The wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

The victim, driving a gray Grand Prix, was going south on Ala. 33, and her vehicle was in the westbound lane of Ala. 24 when she was struck in the driver's side by a red Ford driven by Gary Dobbs, an employee of WAAY-31 television in Huntsville. Dobbs was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Coroner Micah Coffey pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Witnesses at the scene offered conflicting accounts of which driver had a green light at the intersection.

Fred,I agree many people are blaming him because he is on televison. It is a very disturbing situation, but like you said "it was an accident " He never woke up and said I think I want t have a car wreck and kills somone today. As far as the eyewitness , who is to say that the eyewitness was actually paying attention. There is so many conflicting stories , I feel ithat the witnesses shoud be ruled out in this cases. Personal opinion , there is no case , it was a simple car accident that took someone's life,He has already been humilated enough for this accident. Some people just need to get their hearts right with God and start praying for both families instead of playing judge. God bless you all and may you have a forgiving and loving heart for those involved.

This was just a simple accident and a very sad thing to happen. My heart goes out to her family. It also goes out to Gary Dobbs. One forgets, even if it was not his fault, he will always feel at fault or try to find a fault. Yes, It's bad that this happen, but both familys have to deal with this. This was a life changing thing for a lot of family and freinds.. Always remember, it could just as well have been you driving his car or hers. I also talked to a lot of people at the wreck site. He did have the green light and the 2 cars behind him had it too! The lady turning left at the light was waiting on the arrow to go green. She saw everything that happen, but you can't turn left until you get the green arrow. Just because he's on TV, everybody wants to blame him. Give me a break... Whatever happen to a thing called an accident? A family lost a mother, sister and freind. Believe me, the law checked him out good, just like any person would have been checked. How you ever went south at that time of day? If not, go try it. You will see the sun in your eyes, but I'm not saying that's what happen, but it's very possible. I always say, if you was not there, then the rest is all just gossip. Seems that we have some of that going on here now. But it's time for the family to work thru this accident and people not be putting blame to anybody. Accidents happen, if we like them or not. It has always been that way and it will always be that way. My prayers go out to both famiys and I hope that they all find peace in time. Have a Good Day

I was not at the site of the accident, but from what I have read the accident was at 2:30 pm. I also read that he was treated, so I would trust the medics and law enforcement would have a idea if he had or had not been drinking. Accidents do happen and I am sorry for the loss of this woman and send my reguards to her family and prays to all involved.
