Alabama Title Pawn, Inc.

Alabama Title Pawn in Moulton is more than a title pawnshop. The business also deals in merchandise like firearms, guitars, jewelry and tools, said Kaye Blankenship, who has been employed with the company for sixteen years.

“Customers see our store name and think we just deal in titles, but we now handle most any pawn,” Blankenship said. “It really depends on the market and what’s selling at the time—you typically wouldn’t buy a weed eater in the winter, for example—but we sell just about anything.”

Special orders may be placed for new firearms or accessories as well, according to Blankenship.

The pawnshop also offers cash loans to qualifying customers, she added. Cash loans are offered on car titles or customers may also qualify for payday advance loans.

Alabama Title Pawn, which is one of four pawnshops in North Alabama owned by Russellville Mayor David Grissom, is a business built on trust and experience, Blankenship added.

“This business has been here as long as the complex,” Blankenship said of the shop that opened in the Bankhead Shopping Plaza on Alabama Highway 157 in 1999.

Blankenship has worked the front counter, greeting and helping customers since 2014, though she’s been with the company since 2003.

Other locations serving customers across North Alabama include Alabama Title and Pawn in Haleyville, Alabama Super Pawn in Sheffield, and Alabama Gun and Pawn in Russellville.

Alabama Title Pawn is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The shop is also open on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The store is located at 11227 Alabama Highway 157, Suite B, in Moulton. For more information, call 256-974-0709 or visit their Facebook page.
