Jackson House fundraiser happening Thursday

The Jackson House Foundation’s Pizza, Picking and Preserving event is happening tonight at the Mellow Mushroom in Decatur from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

During the fundraiser, a portion of all food sales and gift card purchases will be donated to the JHF for restoration projects at the historic home, JHF Director Tammy Roberts said.

"Glen Copeland will be pickin' a few tunes on his guitar & singing from 5:30-8:30 p.m.," Roberts said. "We will also be drawing the winning ticket in a raffle and giving away a few door prices. Please plan to join us!"

Raffle tickets for a wood carving by Philip Terry have been on sale since the beginning of June.

"We'll continue selling (raffle tickets) up until the minute we do the drawing," she said.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or seven for $5. Proceeds from the raffle will also benefit the Jackson House restoration effort.

Raffle participants do not have to be present to win.
