The Courtland Town Council voted Monday night to adopt a resolution to enter into an agreement with the electric utility on the golf course to better help utility operations. With the agreement, the golf course now becomes leasable property.

The Council also adopted a resolution that will see them obtain and use new electronic vote counting systems for any and all elections moving forward.

In regards to elections, the Council voted to send town clerk Vicki Jackson for special training pertaining to elections that will take place on Dec. 4-6.

Finally, expect a more festive outlook this year as the Council approved citizen's requests to decorate the park in Courtland for Halloween should the citizens so desire to.
