The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department recently announced that its patrol is transitioning to white Chevrolet Tahoes and replacing older patrol vehicles that have higher mileage.

Sheriff Max Sanders said the department has sold older vehicles including several Ford Crown Victorias to make room for the new.

Sheriff’s deputies found an opportunity to show off the new SUVs in a YouTube video that was posted Tuesday. The video follows suit with other law enforcement officers who have participated in the “Git Up Challenge” on social media.

In the challenge, a Lawrence County deputy dances to Blanco Brown’s song, “The Git Up,” in front of two of the white tahoes parked on the grounds of the Jesse Owen Museum.
