The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Danville woman who is wanted for missing a court date on charges of theft.
Hannah Moody, 26, led deputies in a chase that ended in Decatur after officers attempted to stop the vehicle in Lawrence County on Saturday.
“It was in the best interest of public safety to cancel the pursuit and get the driver at a later date,” the sheriff’s office reported early this week.
Moody, who is wanted for failing to appear in court on a suspected theft charge, now faces additional charges including reckless driving, no visible tag, failure to stop at a stop sign, speeding, improper passing, attempting to elude a police officer, third-degree criminal trespassing, reckless endangerment, second-degree criminal mischief, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and second-degree attempted assault on a police officer, according to the sheriff’s office.
“We encourage Hannah to turn herself into the sheriff’s office and answer the charges against her in the appropriate court of law,” the department said.
