Monday crash causes traffic delays north of Moulton

No major injuries were reported following a Monday afternoon crash, which involved an ALDOT tractor and a passenger vehicle in southbound lanes of AL-157 north of Moulton.

A two-vehicle crash involving an Alabama Department of Transportation tractor and a passenger car was reported on Alabama 157 near Fair Haven Church of Christ in Moulton Monday afternoon.

Southbound lanes may experience moderate delays as traffic is redirected in one lane around the wreckage.

Moulton Fire Chief Ryan Jolly said no major injuries were reported following the incident, though one driver was transported to a local hospital and the other driver declined medical treatment.

He said the crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. about three-and-a-half miles north of the intersection at Alabama 157 and Alabama 33.

The accident is under investigation by Alabama State Troopers. Updates will be posted as they are received.
