Moulton Police has identified the man injured in a single-car crash in Moulton early Friday morning.

38-year-old Sorrell Hubbard, of Moulton, was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital following the accident that happened near the intersection of Morgan Street and County Road 213 around 5:30 a.m. on Friday.

Hubbard was driving a 2005 BMW east on Morgan Street when the tread on his right rear tire separated, a police report states.

Hubbard was ejected from his vehicle, which left the roadway, spun into a ditch and landed in an adjacent field, according to the report. Hubbard was the only occupant in the vehicle.

Police say he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident. The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed at this time.
