Lawrence investigators search for two suspects after break-in at Moultrie Pharmacy Thursday

Investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office said it appears at least two suspects broke into Moultrie Pharmacy Thursday morning through the business' drive-thru window.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s investigators are searching for at least two suspects who broke into Moultrie Pharmacy in Langtown early Thursday morning.

The Sheriff’s Department was alerted to the break-in by the pharmacy’s alarm system at 5 a.m. after suspects entered the business through its drive-thru window, according to Investigator Chris Waldrep.

“It appears an amount of medications were taken, but we haven’t received a full inventory yet,” said Waldrep.

He said surveillance footage from a business across the street showed two suspects wearing hoods, masks and gloves at the time of the incident.

“They were completely covered as far as facial recognition,” he said.

Waldrep said investigators are still waiting to see footage released from Moultrie’s surveillance footage, but any information from the public will assist the department in making an arrest.

“We’re following up on leads, but anyone with additional information is asked to please contact the Sheriff’s Office,” he said.
