A former Lawrence County man, who was indicted on 32 charges including solicitation of murder and rape earlier this year, has died while being held at Franklin County Jail.
Kenneth Ray McDonald, 42, died Thursday, July 25 at Russellville Hospital from an apparent heart attack, according to authorities.
McDonald was transferred from the Lawrence County Jail to Franklin County a month ago, according to Lawrence County Sheriff Max Sanders.
McDonald, who last resided at 256 Peden Street in Killen, was arrested in Lawrence County in March after arranging a meeting with deputies at a Hatton business.
He was later indicted on 21 charges of first-degree sodomy, eight charges of first-degree rape, solicitation of murder, incest and child abuse. He was scheduled for a plea hearing in October.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home in Killen.
