High Tech Archery will host a tournament Saturday, February 29th  from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 1st, from 8:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m., on the grounds of Pond Spring - the General Joe Wheeler Home, located at 12280 AL Hwy. 20, Hillsboro, Alabama.

Archers may choose to enter the Open Class, Known (for those using scopes), Hunter, Novice, Senior Open, Senior Known, Women’s  Open, Women’s Hunter, High School, Middle School, Elementary School, Traditional and Crossbow. 

The event will offer an opportunity for professional archers to beginners to hone their skills under the supervision of range and safety personnel. Practice bags and concessions will be available on site, also provided by High Tech Archery. Entry fee for the tournament is $25. Admission to the grounds, parking, and self-guided tours of the Wheeler Home grounds are free to the public, and picnic tables and public restrooms are available.  Visitors and participants are invited to enjoy a guided tour of the historic home for a small admission. 

A portion of the tournament proceeds will benefit the Friends of the General Joe Wheeler Home Foundation, a private organization that works with the Alabama Historical Commission to help make the site a good choice for community events.
