MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Computer Programs and Systems Inc. (CPSI) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $1.7 million.
On a per-share basis, the Mobile, Alabama-based company said it had net income of 12 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 50 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 52 cents per share.
The healthcare information technology company posted revenue of $66.2 million in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $69.2 million.
Computer Programs and Systems shares have fallen nearly 1% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $24.93, a fall of almost 7% in the last 12 months.
