DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) — Construction Partners Inc. (ROAD) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $17.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the Dothan, Alabama-based company said it had profit of 33 cents.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 30 cents per share.
The road and highway construction company posted revenue of $227.3 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $230.5 million.
Construction Partners shares have risen 59% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $14.02, a rise of 27% in the last 12 months.
