Ruby Jean Hale Smith, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 29, 2018.
Visitation was Sunday, December 2, 2018, from noon until 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brannon Bradford officiating and Hannah Smith Henderson, speaker. Burial was in Corinth Cemetery.
Ruby Jean attended Chalybeate School and resides in Moulton, Alabama. She was a member of New Beginnings Church in Moulton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Myrtle Hale; her husband, Charles Franklin Smith, former Police Chief of Town Creek; her two younger brothers, Jack and Tommy Hale.
She is survived by three children, Danny Smith (Detra), Kathy McGregory (Don), Darlene Harris (Jeff); five grandchildren, Jason McGregory, Bryan McGregory (Whitney), Leslie Harris, Justin Harris (Ann Marie), Hannah Smith Henderson (Brad); four great-grandchildren, Isabella and Ryder McGregory, Brady and Trooper Henderson; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Hale and Lou Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jason McGregory, Bryan McGregory, Brad Henderson, Bob Smith, Sean Terry, and Jim Hale.
Honorary pallbearer was Ryder McGregory.
