Doris L. Pasley, 86, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 27, 2020. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Masterson Cemetery with Tim Murray officiating. Lawrence Funeral Home is assisting the family.
A devoted Christian, wife and mother, Doris was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist – Wolf Springs. She taught Sunday School for many years, gave piano lessons and taught singing school.
Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Frank Pasley; children, Sherrie Martin (Wade), Phil Pasley (Peri), Kathy Boothe (Sandy) and Felicia Collins; grandchildren, Matt Martin (Tara), David Martin (Leanne), Holly Brooks (Adrian), Byron Pasley, Preston Pasley, Nick Lovett, Laura Peffer (Brad), Harrison Boothe, Hailey Collins, and Malachi Collins; great-grandchildren, Alison Martin, Ty Martin, Destin Martin, Colton Martin, and Addy Lovett; sister, Betty Scott; brother, Roger White (Linda); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Gertrude White; sisters, Trilbie Burke, Dean Cash, Hazel White, and Mary Lou White; brother, Aaron White; and great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Martin.
Pallbearers will be Matt Martin, David Martin, Nick Lovett, Malachi Collins, Adrian Brooks, and Ty Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Harrison Boothe and Colton Martin.
The family extends special thanks to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, and all of her many caregivers, especially Tammy Bogle, Brenda Grigsby, Candy Letson and Jasmine Parker.
