Virginia White Johnson, age 92, of Reform, AL died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 15, 2019.  Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Smothers officiating.  Burial  followed in Pine Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. “Jack” Johnson; a son, James B. “Jackie” Johnson; her parents; three brothers, Byron White, Jr., Gene White and Billy E. White.

Survivors include her son, Lynn Johnson (Debra); daughter-in-law, Linda Johnson; two brothers, Gay White and Teddy White (Ann); sister, Gail Manly (Ron); four grandchildren, Kristie Robinson (David), Jared Johnson (Tiffany), Melissa Rickman (Brian) and Benjamin Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Vicky Brown.

Virginia was born September 17, 1926, in Landersville, Alabama to the late Byron White, Sr. and Ora Pauline Roberts White,  the second in a family of seven siblings.  She was a lifelong homemaker and a member of Carrollton Baptist Church.

Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who always put others first and had a kind word for everyone she met.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

Pallbearers were John Renfroe, Johnny Allen, Dennis Posey, Brian Rickman, Shane Boudreaux and Roy Lee Bailey.
