The Mustang Sally 50th Anniversary Contest is now in the voting phase of the fund raiser that benefits the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Lawrence County, via the Chamber of Commerce.  Please, go to and VOTE!!!

Lawrence County has suffered from the loss of the International Paper plant which has caused the County Commission to reduce the operating budget by 45%.  That means that blacktop county roads will be maintained by taking them back to gravel roads.  The circumstance is dire.

The Alabama Music Hall of Fame is a tourism magnet and the staff is fantastic and the visiting experience is as well.  The documentary, Muscle Shoals, has exploded interest in The Hit Recording Capital of the World, and the Hall and the historic studios are welcoming many new visitors.  Although the doors at the Hall closed a few years ago and things look brighter now, the Hall still has multiple needs - one being the need for museum quality display upgrades.

This contest was designed as a fun way to raise money for these worthy causes, so have some fun, please.  Go to the contest site and look at the entrants.  Someone or something there will make it worth it.
