Hatton junior Ashley Berryman keeps racking up the awards, this time a state honor. 

Berryman was selected to the ASWA’s All-State team as the class 2A pitcher of the year, while also being a first team selection. 

Berryman finished the season with a win loss record of 26-8 and an ERA of 1.19. She had 197 strikeouts. 

Emma Latham also finished with a first team All State selection as an infielder. 

Latham finished the season with a .489 average, 89 hits, 15 homeruns and led the county with 44 stolen bases. 

Hatton’s Mallory Lane and Cloey Lovelady both were selected to the second team, while eighth grader Bradyn Mitchell was honorable mention. 

East Lawrence had two selections for the All State team. 

Briley Pitt was chosen as a second team All State designated hitter. Pitt led the county with 15 homeruns. 

The Eagles’ Clay Pilgrim was the only county baseball player to be chosen to the All State team, a second team selection. 

Pilgrim was selected as the Lawrence County baseball player of the year last week.
