It was a very shocking outcome Friday night when the West Point Warriors raced past the Lawrence County Red Devils Friday night.

The Warriors exploded to a 20-0 lead after they returned the opening kickoff to the eight-yard lien and scored on a flea flicker later in the half.

Colton Johnson cut the lead to 20-7 and the Devils had a chance to add when hey intercepted a pass just before halftime but they were unable to get out of bounds in time to get a play off.

In the second half the Warriors scored 22 unanswered before Gage Dutton finally cut the lead with a touchdown run but the Devils still fell 42-14.

Lawrence County will host Dora next week in another region game.
