The East Lawrence Eagles couldn’t keep up with the Westminster Christian Wildcats Saturday, falling in two games of the first round of the AHSAA playoffs.
The Wildcats topped the Eagles 6-0 and 14-1 Saturday afternoon.
Westminster jumped out early in game one, scoring all six runs in the first three innings.
Meanwhile, the Eagles struggled at the plate, securing just two hits and striking out 17 times.
Game two was much of the same, as the Wildcats scored five runs in the first two innings. East Lawrence faired better at the plate but it wasn’t enough. The Eagles finished the season with a 17-21 record.
