It looked like more business as usual for the R.A. Hubbard Chiefs friday night as they rolled to a 21-0 halftime lead.
However, they had to hold off a late rally by Coosa Christian for the win Friday night.
Coosa scored three touchdowns on 50/50 passes to their bigtime wide receiver.
"It wasn't bad coverage, their guy just made some big time plays," said head coach Mac Hampton.
Despite allowing three second half touchdowns, Hampton liked that his team got tested a little.
"We made some sloppy plays and it was getting a little chippy. You never like to allow three touchdowns after not giving up any in the first half," said Hampton. "But I liked the way my guys handled the adversity. That's something we can build on."
DJ Wiggins and Todd Perkins added scores for the third week in a row.
Next week the Chiefs will come home for the first time this season when they take on Decatur Heritage.
