Hatton wins first game, still falls to Section

Hatton's Braedon brown had three hits and an RBI against Section in the first game. 

The Hatton Hornets earned a win in the first game of their AHSAA playoff meeting with Section Monday night. 

With the win, the Hornets became the only county team to get a win in their series. 

The game was tight early on but Hatton broke through with a big fifth inning. 

Reed Hill walked with the bases loaded to give them a 3-2 lead and then Will Steadman and Chet Terry knocked in two RBI singles each to make the lead 7-2. 

Hatton added five more runs throughout the rest of the game and finished with a 12-4 win. 

Trey Steadman picked up the win, allowing just five hits and two runs with six strikeouts. 

Braedon Brown led the team with three hits and an RBI. Reed Hill finished with three RBIs. 

Hatton fell in the second game 25-4. Tuesday their season ended in a game three loss to Section.
